Novel Research

"Wizards First Rule" was written by a man named Terry Goodkind in 1993 and was published in 1994 as his first novel. He was born in 1948 in Omaha, Nebraska, USA where he also attended schooling in art and Catholic Catechism Instruction. Ever since he was young he has suffered from dyslexia which caused him much grief in his high school life. He had dropped out of college to work as a carpenter, violin maker, and "a restorer of rare and exotic artifacts and antiques". He was an accomplished painter before starting his first novel, "Wizards First Rule", best known for his realistic marine and wildlife paintings. Goodkind has been writing novels since 1993 and his latest book was released on November 13, 2007 titled "Confessor".
